Today was my first day of work in the music marketing company, Crowd Surf. I was given an email address for the company and was told to use it to communicate with my colleagues. When I entered the office I was given a tour of the office, and told some of the protocols as to how everything works. The environment here feels very friendly and welcoming. Everyone helps everyone. For example, I could not find the printer paper, therefore one of my colleagues came and assisted me in finding the paper for the printer. It is a casual and small working environment which I feel is very beneficial that way I am not too overwhelmed especially at one of my first internships. The dress code here is very casual and therefore everyone has a friendly attitude toward one another. All the colleagues at the office work and interact greatly with one another. Currently there are four interns, including myself. Two of them have been here for a few weeks already; they have given me some pointers as to how to succeed in this internship. I really enjoyed my first day here and am looking forward to having a great summer here at Crowd Surf and learning a great deal.
